A seat is the only thing CoLateral sells: discipline expansion packs are named as later work and none of them is available or priced.

Apply for a seat and you get a licence key by email, for Windows, macOS or Linux. A beta seat is the whole workspace with nothing held back and nothing to add on. No payment, and no plan starts when the 14 days are up.

Expansion packs are not for sale

A seat is discipline-neutral, and it is the whole price list. A pack would be one discipline's tools already built and layered on a seat, but none of them is available: no pack has a price, a button or a date, and nothing above depends on one arriving. The workspace is fully usable without one, because you can build the tools you need by describing them. See what is planned.

What each plan covers

Solo Monthly

One seat on the workspace, billed monthly, cancel anytime: the infinite canvas, the AI agents that work on it, a terminal, spreadsheets, notes and schedules, and the ability to build a tool by describing what it should do. This is the plan for a practitioner who wants to run CoLateral on live work without committing a year up front.

There is nothing to add to it: no pack, no per-tool charge, no seat tier that unlocks a feature. Cancelling mid-period runs to the end of the period already paid for.

Solo Annual

The same single seat on the same workspace, billed once a year and priced at two months less than twelve monthly payments. Same canvas, same agents, same terminal, same tool building, one invoice.

One invoice is the whole of it. Nothing else is sold alongside a seat.

Firm

Per-seat pricing for a practice, with a three-seat minimum and central billing so seats are not expensed one at a time. Every seat carries the whole workspace: canvas, agents, terminal, sheets and notes, and tool building. Firm access is arranged directly - get in touch and it is set up for your team.

Every seat is the same seat, so there is no per-engineer add-on to track. SSO, audit logs, and data residency are enterprise terms rather than a listed plan. Ask and they are quoted against what your firm actually needs.

Pricing questions

How do I get access?

CoLateral is in a closed beta and no plan is being charged yet. Apply on the closed beta page and an approved seat gets a free 14-day licence key with no card and no automatic conversion into a subscription. The prices below are what a seat will cost once the beta ends.

Is there anything to buy besides a seat?

No. A seat buys the workspace - canvas, agents, terminal, sheets, notes, and building your own tools - and that is the entire product line. Expansion packs are named on the packs page as later work; none of them is available, priced, or included in what you are paying for here.

I only do mechanical work, is CoLateral useful to me today?

Yes, on the same terms as any other discipline. There is no prebuilt duct sizing suite to buy - there is no prebuilt suite for anyone to buy. What a seat gives you is the ability to describe the calculation, the checker or the report you want and have it built on the canvas, beside the spreadsheet, the schedule and the terminal it has to work with. That is the product.

Did the price change?

It came down. A seat was CA$149 a month when a prebuilt tool suite was the product. It is CA$99 now, and that CA$99 buys the workspace itself - the canvas, the agents, the terminal, the sheets and notes, and building the tools you need on it. Annual is CA$990 and a firm seat is CA$800 per seat per year.

Nothing is added on top, because nothing else is for sale.

Does a plan include AI usage?

No. CoLateral supplies no model credits at any price. The AI features run on your own Claude Code or Codex CLI login, or on your own Anthropic API key entered in the app, and that usage is billed to you by the provider. Without one of those, the calculators, project canvas, and drawing tools all work and the agent panel does not.

What currency are the prices in?

Canadian dollars, before tax. CoLateral is built in Canada for engineers working here first, so the prices are quoted in the currency the people using it bill in.

How do I change or cancel a subscription?

Write in through the contact form from the address associated with your plan. Support will confirm the change, and a subscription cancelled mid-period runs to the end of the period you have already paid for.

Does a subscription include the desktop app?

Yes. Your plan covers the CoLateral desktop workspace and local project storage. The download page shows current Windows installer status and first-run steps.

What am I responsible for as the engineer?

Everything the plan does not change: professional judgment and accountability stay with the responsible engineer on any plan. CoLateral outputs are design aids and stay in draft status until reviewed and approved by a qualified engineer. No price tier alters that.
