Install CoLateral on your machine.
Pick your platform, then follow the first-run steps for it. You need a licence key to get past the first screen, and during the beta a key is free for 14 days.

Get the desktop app
CoLateral 1.0.21 for Windows, macOS and Linux. Every platform is built from the same tagged commit and carries the same tools.
macOS
CoLateral 1.0.21
macOS 12 Monterey or newer. One universal download for both Apple Silicon and Intel.
Signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarised by Apple, so it opens on a double-click. Drag CoLateral into Applications and eject the disk image first, the same as any other Mac app.
Linux
CoLateral 1.0.21
64-bit x86. The AppImage needs no package manager and no root.
Mark it executable before the first run, then launch it like any other program.

64-bit only, on all three. The Mac build is signed and notarised by Apple; the Windows installer is not signed yet and shows a warning on first run - the Windows card says exactly what to click. Something not working? Use the contact form.
Choose the matching build
Windows 10 or 11, macOS 12 or newer, or 64-bit Linux. The macOS file is universal, so it covers Apple Silicon and Intel. On Linux, the AppImage runs anywhere and the .deb is for Debian and Ubuntu.
Expect a warning on Windows
The Windows installer is not signed yet, so Windows shows "Windows protected your PC". Choose More info, then Run anyway. The Mac build is signed by Apple and opens on a double-click. Linux needs the AppImage marked executable.
Activate with a licence key
The app will not open without one. Your key arrives by email once your application is approved, and it is free for the beta. First activation needs the internet; after that the app runs offline for 30 days.
Bring your own AI credentials
AI features need your own Claude Code or Codex CLI login, or your own Anthropic API key. CoLateral supplies no credits. Without one, the calculators, canvas and drawing tools still work.
Node.js for the agent terminal
The agent terminal needs Node.js on your PATH. Without it the terminal does nothing, on every platform. Nothing else in the workspace needs it.
Install each new release
Automatic updates are not enabled. New builds are announced by email; come back here and install over your existing copy.
