Closed beta

What the beta is, and what it is not.

An invited group testing an agentic engineering workspace on Windows, macOS and Linux. Free for 14 days, the whole workspace with nothing held back, and direct access to the person building it. Read what is still rough before you install.

Included

What you get

The project canvas, about 70 calculators and viewers for steel, concrete, wood, masonry and foundations, drawing and PDF intake, and saved designs. Your files stay on your machine.

Platform

Windows, macOS and Linux

Windows 10 or 11, macOS 12 or newer, and Linux as an AppImage or a .deb. Same build, same tools on all three. There is no mobile or browser version.

First run

The Windows installer is unsigned

Windows shows "Windows protected your PC". Choose More info, then Run anyway. The Mac build is signed by Apple and opens normally. On Linux, mark the AppImage executable.

Licence

Activate once, online

Paste the licence key from your approval email the first time you open the app. After that it runs offline for 30 days.

Licence

A seat runs 14 days

When it runs out the AI agent panel and the terminal stop. The calculators, the canvas, the drawing tools and export keep working, and your files stay on your disk. We email you before the date and say whether the beta is being extended.

AI

AI needs your own key

The agent panel runs on your Claude Code or Codex CLI login, or your own Anthropic API key. CoLateral supplies no model credits. Everything else works without one.

Requirements

The agent terminal needs Node.js

Node.js on your PATH, for the terminal only. Without it the terminal does nothing. The engineering tools do not need it.

Updates

Updates are manual

New builds are announced by email and installed over your existing copy.

Offline

Two tools use the internet

The climatic tools load their map from a public service and tell you when it is unavailable. Everything else runs from files that ship with the app.

Feedback

What we want from you

Which tool you opened first, what you expected it to do, and where it did not match how you work. More useful than a list of bugs.

Bug reports

Reporting a problem

Send your operating system, the version from the About box, and the steps that led to it. Never include confidential project data.

Privacy

Your data stays yours

Everything is stored and calculated on your machine. The privacy policy says what is and is not collected.

Responsibility

Engineer review is still required

Every calculator is a design aid. CoLateral does not certify or stamp anything, and no output should leave your office without engineer review.
